A common misconception of the advanced course if that it is for “advanced” divers, when in actual fact it is about advancing from your open water diver course, into specific dive interests that you may have or skills that you wish to improve upon such as navigation, night diving or wreck techniques.

What is included?
Everything that you need for the course, including equipment is included. There are no extra costs. You can purchase the full course at the bottom of this page.
Previous experience & Age?
To complete this course you must be an Open Water Diver or Equivalent as minimum. If you are not sure that you meet this requirement, please ask. The minimum age for this course is 12 years old.
What dives can I choose for the 3 of my choice?
Each of the Advanced dives are classed as a speciality dive. This means that if you continued to progress in that area, you could undertake the remaining required dives in that specialist area to obtain full certification in that speciality. We advise divers to choose areas which they are interested in progressing or areas that they wish to improve. A full list of dives can be found on our ‘speciality dives’ page.
What depth will I go to?
Depending on your age at the time of the course, the maximum depth will either be 30 meters or 21 meters, if Junior Open Water.
Is equipment included?
All equipment is included in the course. We do however advise that you have your own mask and dive computer for the course. Our on site or online shop can assist with this.
Where can I take the course?
The course can be taken at any of our centres. As we have our own boats too, it is possible for some of the training to be undertaken in the sea and this is something that we would encourage.
