PADI Open Water Course

What is it?

The PADI Open Water Diver certification is the first qualification of scuba diving, and once qualified is world recognised and will allow you to dive anywhere in the world down to a depth of 18 meters.
The full PADI Open Water course is conducted on site here at Vivian. We have an on-site training pool and the quarry where we will first conduct a wide variety of skills required for your Scuba diving license.

The PADI Open Water is a 4 day course and we include the Drysuit certification within all of our Open water courses.
Once you are happy with the skills in the cage, we will then move to the deeper waters of the quarry, having the opportunity to put everything you have learnt into practise and explore the underwater attractions such as the sunken boats, submarine and old underwater slate and blast houses from when the quarry was a working slate mine.

The full course price is £485. This price includes all course materials, kit hire, site entry fees, training and both certifications, meaning that after your course you would be qualified to both dive and use a drysuit which is useful for diving here. The course can be booked with £250 deposit and we can send the online manual to you straight away to get started on the course.

All of our courses are conducted on request, the only days that we are closed are Mondays and Tuesdays. We can therefore conduct the training flexibly, whether this be once a week or a full 4 day course.
